What we do

The Concrete Centre provides material, design and construction guidance to help professionals maximise concrete’s structural, aesthetic and sustainability potential through effective design and specification. This includes published guidance, design tools, CPD seminars and training, in-person and online events. The Concrete Centre is also the proud publisher of Concrete Quarterly magazine.

Staffed by a team of qualified professionals, including architects, engineers, building physicists, and sustainability experts, The Concrete Centre has extensive knowledge across all aspects of concrete construction. Find out more and Meet the Team.

The Concrete Centre is part of the Mineral Products Association, the trade association for the aggregates, asphalt, cement, concrete, dimension stone, lime, mortar and industrial sand industries.


How we do it

Published guidance

Publishing technical information in a wide range of formats, from introductory documents on specific engineering systems to comprehensive books on how to interpret the latest codes and standards. 

Design tools and software

Providing a range of tools and software with the aim of enabling designers to develop safe, efficient and sustainable designs. 

Events and training

Hosting a full programme of live seminars, webinars and lectures, as well as training courses. Attending exhibitions and providing speakers and thought-leadership for industry conferences. 

Topical magazines

Sharing topical design guidance and the latest inspirational projects, via Concrete Quarterly and Concrete Futures magazines. Aimed at all members of the project team, these magazines are a hub for architectural vision, innovation, structural solutions, best practice and performance. 

Resources for students and lecturers

Offering best practice guidance and resources for students and lecturers of structural engineering and architecture as well as two stimulating annual student competitions, which support university curricula.
