Helen is an Architect with over 20 years experience in Practice and is an advisor to The Concrete Centre. Helen has a post graduate certificate in Energy and Sustainable Building Design and previously worked as Joint Head of Sustainability for the Architecture team in a large multidisciplinary consultancy. Helen's key focus is sustainable housing and is a firm advocate for ‘less is more’, design efficiency and passive strategies, with a strong focus on thermal mass, thermal comfort, daylighting and resilience. Helen is a member of the ARB, RIBA, Green Register and UKGBC.

Sue Roaf (B.A. Hons, A.A. Dipl., PhD, FRIAS, HonDEng) is Emeritus Professor of Architectural Engineering at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh and Honorary Professor at Deakin University, Melbourne and at the University of Queensland. An award winning architect, teacher, author and activist. Richard Horswill - Transition Impact Manager, FloodRe
Richard Horswill is Transition Impact Manager at Flood Re, where he leads initiatives that improve property flood resilience and help shape the future of flood risk management across the UK. He is strategic lead for a number of nationally significant programmes, including Build Back Better and the development of the pioneering Flood Performance Certificate, working closely with government, insurers and resilience organisations. Prior to joining Flood Re, Richard held a range of local government roles focused on flood risk management, green infrastructure and nature recovery, including positions with Essex County Council and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. His experience spans environmental policy, community resilience and programme delivery, giving him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing flood resilience today.
Dr Elisabeth Marlow - Associate, Cundall
Elisabeth (Lis) is an Associate at global, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Cundall, where she leads the Climate resilience services. With an international practice of urban systems thinking, Elisabeth advocates cross sector collaboration to generate practice action for sustainability and resilience. Her doctoral research into the measurement, interpretation and decision-making of sustainability and resilience in the urban built environment, was consolidated in the paper "Interpreting sustainability and resilience in the built environment" which received an Elsevier award in 2024. Recent industry leadership includes contribution to the UKGBC Resilience Roadmap and participating with Royal Academy of Engineers community of interest on policy for sustainability and climate. She is also a recent Vice President of IStructE (2022-2025).
