Modern technologies and innovation are changing the way concrete is planned, formed and placed. Recent developments mean that inventions such as the 3D-printing of concrete structures and formwork is not only possible, but can be used on projects now.  This seminar will provide an update on how the design and construction of concrete structures is being improved through digitisation, including case studies.

The seminar topics include:

  • An Overview of Digital Concrete
  • Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA)
  • Formwork in a Digital Age
  • 3D Printing Concrete

The evening will include the announcement of the winners of The Concrete Centre Structural Concrete Student Competition 2019 sponsored by Laing O’Rourke.
