Concept Carbon Calculator

Concept is a simple spreadsheet tool for the conceptual design of reinforced concrete frames, enabling comparison and determination of the optimum structural frame. It can be used for time and cost comparisons and gives initial member sizing, quantities of formwork, reinforcement and concrete - all useful information when making a choice of frame.

With just a quick adjustment of the data, Concept can also be used as a carbon calculator. Just update the rates with eCO₂ figures (we recommend that you save a copy, so that you don't lose your cost data) and you have a tool that can provide an extremely fast way of helping to choose between different concrete frame options for a multi-storey scheme design, whatever the metric.
