Rising populations and space constraints in our cities are encouraging us to build tall. The strength, robustness, fire and acoustic performance of concrete makes it ideal for the cores and frames of tall buildings. This webinar will provide technical guidance on designing concrete tall buildings.
|Jenny Burridge - MPA The Concrete Centre
Jenny is head of structural engineering for The Concrete Centre and is a chartered civil and structural engineer with more than 25 years' experience in the construction industry. She has worked for ARUP and AECOM designing award winning buildings, both in the UK and mainland Europe. Prior to becoming head of structural engineering, she spent four years as a regional engineer with The Concrete Centre advising clients, engineers and architects on the most efficient and effective uses of concrete. She is also on the Council of CONSTRUCT and a member of the working group on fire for the European Concrete Platform. Key areas of development are the economic design of concrete framed buildings and the performance of concrete in fire.
